French + Drawing

Ian Paterson
Drawing is the foundation of visual art. Most visual artists, designers, illustrators, architects, and fashion designers start their creative process with drawing. It is based on the human activity of the movement of the hand, eye and mind, each stimulating each other in the evolution of visual and conceptual ideas. This intensive course will teach students the basic visual language of drawing: line, form, composition, light & shadow, gesture, etc., while at the same time guiding students in how to see, investigate and develop personal vision. Different drawing materials will be explored. Some classes will take place in the studio, but most of the time the class will be drawing in the gardens and museums of Paris.
Please note that course availability is contingent on sufficient enrollment and that classes are subject to cancellation.
