Intro to Painting: Sources + Techniques

Through demonstrations, workshops and studio sessions, this course develops basic knowledge of both traditional and contemporary painting sources and techniques. Students will begin exploring the language of painting, mapping and editing sources to develop skills and themes in order to further develop their portfolio. Museum visits, artist slide lectures and individual critiques provide an ongoing stimulation of ideas, artist work examples, and potential sources.
