Considering the influence and impact of the market on contemporary creation, this course will explore different aspects of the art world effecting today’s artists. Distinguished guest speakers will help address topics such as: new media, the growing importance of the project as work of art, foundation prizes and grants, the evolution of artistic production, changes and new issues in public institutions, the “Art Fair”, curators, and the people that select the next wave of successful artists.
