Fashion Illustration + 3D Techniques

This course teaches students how to further develop their basic drawing skills while enhancing their fashion illustrations with greater depth through surface decoration and 3D-effects. Students will learn to define movement, proportion and perspective drawing from a live fashion model, representing the silhouette of the figure and of clothing through a series of exercises beginning with 2 minutes sketches to longer studies in color blocking and contour line drawing. These studies will then be developed further with 3D effects, using media such as collage, origami, embroidery and appliqué. Every day a different method to enrich fashion drawing will be explored.
